Back in Augsburg

21 October 2011

After a few stops on the way we arrived back to Augsburg. We spent the afternoon eating cake and drinking coffee (just how the Germans do it all weekend long) and catching up with people. We had a nice relaxing dinner with Sylvia and Thomas.

We were told to stop at this small church Maria Vesperbild on the way to Augsburg. Just like any other church from the outside but really nice inside

We stopped by the Usterbacher brewery in Usterbacher. A really nice beer made in this tiny town in the middle of nowhere

House over the power station where I used to live in Augsburg

Inside the power station with the two large turbines

Its starting to get cold in Bavaria and being so close to Christmas all the Gluewein (Christmas wine) is coming onto the shop shelves. Its red wine mixed with herbs, cinnamon etc heated up. We gave it a go and it wasnt too bad.

All the statues in the town centre were all covered up in preparation for snow.

We stayed with Thomas, Sylvia and their dog
