Day 4: Olivet to Tours (via Meung-sur-Loire ) 35km

10 September 2011

Again we did a short day of cycling as we wanted to get to Paris this afternoon. We decided to back track past some old mills, chateau's and vineyards and wineries. We cycled off the main cycling path today where we caught a train from Meung-sur-Loire back to Tours.

Kath prepared us a huge tasty French breakfast.

On our way out of Olivet we visited a series of old mills used on the side river.

Max showed us the way through the parks along the side river to get us on our way

Cycling off the main path through some typical French oak forest

It took us ages but we finally found a Chateau we were looking for hidden away in the forest roads

We came across this wine processing plant in one of the small villages where freshly picked grapes where being processed.

In all the main towns along the river we have noticed this style of building which apparently have hidden messages that knights used use.

4 days of cycling and 2hrs back to where we started on the train. The coached were just like what you see in the movies with a small room for 6-8 people.
