After doing some sightseeing in the Arena (coliseum) we couldnt resist going to a big show last night, so on the spur of the moment we decided to go to our first opera. Yes you heard right MARK AND KAREN WENT TO AN OPERA.......a very long opera with a crowd of over 15,000 and we didnt even fall asleep until the 3rd scene : )
With a sell out crowd we had to get into the stadium really early to get a seat and kept entertained by all the rich people filing in below us.
There were police everywhere for the special guests and president of northern Italy for the grand opening of the season today.
The crowd of over 15,000 people all lite candles as tradition, as in the old days there was no lighting
