We reach Lake Tekapo, cold, wet, exhausted, frustrated and hungry
Day 7 (Dec8) Omarara to Lake Tekapo 86.9km =618km total
Bad weather and headwinds again today. We got the rain and wind against us then to top it off the closer to Tekapo we go the colder it was. It must have been 5 degrees.
We stopped at a salmon farm coming into Twizel today and feed some of there fish which were massive and tasty as. After some breakfast and lunch and checking mails we hit the road again. You see all of the postcards of Mt Cook and lake Tekapo and its a sunny beautiful day, we think they should put a picture of us at the back shivering saying that its only nice like like 3 days a year.
We rocked into Tekapo and the people from the Lake Tekapo scenic resort pit us up for the night. That warm shower and bed was the best thing ever
