Update 18/7/06
On Monday we took the four hour drive from Prague, Czech Republic across the border to Bratislava, Slovakia. As we drove closer to the slalom course just out of the city things became more familiar from the 6 years ago when I was here for junior worlds.
The course has been awesome. A very big grade 3-4 course slightly easier than Bourg St Maurice. There is a cool wave half way down where you can get ½ metre air crossing over it as well as a narly drop that turns into a big hole at the bottom (see pictures).
I have been feeling really good in the last few days as I have been getting over this cold I have had. Also, my knee seems to have sorted itself out after taking some advice form my cousin Michelle.
Every day this week more and more teams have been arriving for the Slovak Open at the weekend. This is a very large international race with a total of over 10,000 Euro (20,000NZD) prize money split over the top three placings in all classes.
