Cool as Austrain smart cop car.

Update 20/7/06

We went to Vienna, the capital of Austria in between morning and afternoon training sessions yesterday as it was only 50km from Bratislava. This was a very cool city very similar to Munich and even western Berlin. Again, some amazing historial buildings and monuments as well as some really good gelato ice cream. We just wandered the streets checking out random shops and markets.

Then, it was our rest day today so us kiwi boys headed to Hungaries capital Budapest. It is always a good feeling going to a new country you haven’t been to before.

This city was just another ancient European city similar to Prague with hundreds of old historial buildings including museums, palaces and churches. Definitely behind times with countries in the European Union.

The 38 oC temperatures of the day soon tired us out so we stopped for a swim in a sort of pool in the city centre. About a minute after we waded in the police turned up yelling at us in Hungarian, so I guess we weren’t allowed in there to cool off. 5 minutes later the police were back yelling at us again when we started to play a game of touch in the park by the pool. We were dying for water by the time we got back to the car as no shops would take our Euros : (

The number of good looking girls in this city also surprised me having been in Slovakia a few days.

Now, we are just hanging out for the race on Saturday. A very good build up to the Worlds in 13 days.
