Wales - Nant Peris

17 August 2011

We caught the biggest car ferry I have ever seen to Holyhead where we planned to stay a couple of days in Wales in Llanberis a small town at the base of the Snowdon mountains. We stayed at a really relaxing empty hostel beside Nant Peris Lake where I made the most of the sun and did a couple of walks and Karen relaxed all day to get over her cold.

We caught the Stenaline from Dublin to Holyhead (Wales) which is the biggest car passenger ship I have ever been on.

Heading out through Dublin harbour

From our hostel I climbed the steep scramble up to the saddle where I got this mint view of Llanberis and the two lakes. Yay its sunny

The weather changes ever 10 minutes here and the cloud passes through the mountains so fast

Looking across the lake onto the old Dinowig Slate quarry

Looking up the valley towards the township of Nant Peris and Pen y Pass.
