On route to Siena we stopped for a few hours in Pisa. We checked our bags in at the left luggage at the train station. I was actually really impressed with the leaning bell tower and stoked we stopped to climb to the top of the worlds most famous tower. We had a great afternoon exploring and were very glad we decided to stop.
We arrive in Pisa and head straight for the tower
The worlds most famous tower - the leaning tower of Pisa
Mark is pretty strong
This just shows how crooked it is and apparently it used to be worse before they fixed it as they thought it would fall over
Climbing the tower was like being on some amusement park ride as its so easy to get off balance. These stairs are worn out by then thousands of people that climb this tower everyday
View straight down from the top
Town of Pisa from the top of the tower
Each town in Italy has a drinking fountain, and Pisa was no different with this fresh cold water coming out of this statues mouth.
