We had a day away from Rome in Ostia where we explored the city and coastline by bike. The lady who rented us the bikes told us to watch out as Italian drivers are crazy.....now we know why and we are glad to have survived : )
The coastline was covered in private beaches, resorts, gyms and waterparks like nothing we have ever seen before. We headed for the closest public beach for a quick dip and rode through the Ostia forest. We thought we had tried every type of Pizza in Italy until we stopped for lunch in Ostia where you get pizza by the kg. It had buffallo mozzarella, potato and other things - SO YUM.

You dont get any peace on Italien beaches as there are always people wanting to sell you something. This guy got so close to the waves he almost lost his load.
