From Bangkok we bused to Si Racha to catch up with the teachers Glenn used to teach with when he lived here during his gap year. We spend some time with Glenns super nice Thai family and teaches who made us lots of yummy Thai food.
We visited the Khao Kheow open zoo, spent the day at Glenns old school and did a day trip out to Ko Sichang an island 100km off the mainland.
Khao Kheow Open Zoo
After lunch with Glenns teachers we visited the Khao Kheow open zoo. This was the gibbon enclosure with several types from throughout Asia
There were about 10 Hippopotamus's. One sprayed us when it went to the toilet as they spin their tail and it goes everywhere.

It was a really nice zoo with lots of space for the animals.

Who was really driving?
We drove around on these golf carts as there was a big distance to cover. We accidently took someone elses cart when our key worked in its ignition and were chased down by the security.

This was a really interesting temple with dragons all over the pillars
People leave their messages/prayers on the wall in this kind of cave.
It was great to drive around on scooters and swim at the beach. This is the southern most point of the island.
There were many boats out fishing
Shrine on the hill of the Rama V Palace complex. We spent a nour walking around all the temples, gardens and different buildings.
We drove up to the big yellow buddha that dominated the hills from the pier.
Glenns Thai Family and School
Its custom when someone comes to visit to buy lots of food for the guest so we were given all this yummy Thai food from the markets. These coonut tasting pastries were great.

These are Glenns teachers. We went to the school and helped the students make a film about visitors to the school
