Havent been out river kayaking for awhile so did a road trip with a old kayaking mate and his friend from overseas to our favourite spots. Got out on Excess 10 on the Tongaririo river, Full James on the Waikato and Kaituna in Rotorua. Awesome few days playing on the water, sitting in hot pools an chilling out.
We enjoyed a few runs down Okere falls. Doug was so nervous being his first time down he was blowing chunks on the bottom of the waterfall :)

We drove past Rainbow Mountain and have always wanted to do it so made the plung and did
A big hot boiling geothermal lake at the start of the walk
Nice tramp with smoking ground everywhere and rainbow coloured rock
Great views from the summit and some nice native bush
Stopped in Tauranga for a quick walk up the mount
