Cycle tour of Munich

25 October 2011

Munich is a big place so life was made easy on our cycle trip around the city. We looked around the Olympic stadium, BMW world, english gardens, oktoberfest park and the city markets.

The grounds of the Oktoberfest at Theresienwiese park. They were still taking all the beer tents down and getting the park back to normal after the 7 million visitors 3 weeks ago

A weir along the Isar river

We stopped for a look around the English Gardens. This is a guy surfing on the Eisbach. It was #%^*$ cold so thats why he's wearing the wetsuit with hood

Beer bike. You can get 12 of your friends and hire out this wicked bike. You sit alongside the bar drinking and pedalling at the same time then there is someone in the front steering

Lowenbrau brewery

We had a look through the old Olympic park from the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. This is the Olympic tower and swimming pool complex

BMW world and museum

The BMW world was like a place where buyers could come and look at the lastest range of cars. This is one of the mint BMW motorbikes with up to 300km on the speedo

The inside of the complex was like a museum in itself. In the middle you could go test drive the lastest vehicles. It was interesting to see the lastest electric cars that can still go really fast

The worlds offical largest beer stein for sale at over a few 12,000Euro

Our last dinner in Germany at the main Ausgustiner brewery. We had some great food

Last chance to sneak in a 1 litre beer
