First time in Liechtenstein

11 June 2011

After a few hours of Trains we made our way to Liechtenstein a small principality landlocked between Switzerland and Austria. With a population of 35,000 and only 1 main road through the middle this was an exciting country to explore.

We arrived at a camp ground and took a walk through the forest and meadows to balzers where we explored a medival castle and church.

We had a quick train connection in Landsberg and saw some good glimses of the Bodensee.

Some flower meadows

With johannesberries, cherries and wild strawberries all ripe we had a good feed.

A neat view of balzers

If you zoom into this pic you will see all the art and figures and shapes in this garden

Balzers exciting Gutenberg castle and church

Yum, cherries everywhere

Vineyards on the hills leading up to the castle

Sunset across the entire country

The entrance to Gutenberg castle

We stayed at the only camping ground in Liectenstein which was on the base of the mountains
