Adventures in Switzerland

16 June 2011

From Liechtenstein we headed to Switzerland to visit a friend in Wiedlisbach a tiny village near Solothurn. Switzerland was well over our budget so we tried a bit of hitch hiking which was actually really fun and we meet a couple of great people.

We had an awesome few day with Sibylle and Justin, and their kids Evan and Lielle. We checked out a butterfly and animal park, the local water park, spent one morning riding into Solothurn to check out the old city and went rock climbing in the mountains with Sibylles brother Remo. Justin got us into some really exciting boardgames, Sibylle cooked us some great swiss food and the kids keep us entertained with their toy airport and ways of staying up after their bedtime. Thanks guys and hope to see you in NZ soon.

Trying our luck with a bit of hitch hiking in Swizerland from the Liechtenstein border. Thanks Michael for the lift.

All the sunflowers were in bloom on the country farms

I managed to get two ticks on different days while in Switzerland. Tiny animals that go in under your skin, they can be really harmful but we managed to get them out really quick so no problems.
