Day 2 (Dec3) Gore to somewhere near Athol 90.9km =188km total

After an awesome sleep and full bellies we were back on the road to Athol. We picked up some $10 fishing rods to try our luck catching some trout, I think we smelled so bad the trout didn’t come near us.

We also stopped at to check out the old Tiger Moth planes from the war.

We were stuck with a strong headwind the entire day which toughened us up, it was slow going with us averaging 17km/ph

Blond moment of the day – andriy was looking for his canteen tshirt on the side of the road today for 10 minutes through every pannier to find he was wearing it.

It was about 9.30pm when we hoped off our bikes and set up the tent on a random farm on the side of the road. We couldn’t see much and found that we were sleeping on rocks. That didn’t matter as we were so knackered and fell asleep in seconds

We ONLY raised $4 today. So we rode for 1cent each a kilometer. So please give us some motivation and donate online. If everyone gives a little bit, it will add up and go a long way
