The waves were going over the sea wall on the way to Otaki

Day 14 (Dec 16) Wellington to Otaki 80.5km =1269km total
Welly had some mean hills to start with, then horizontal rain with 50km continuous wind with 70km gusts in the morning. Along the coastal road the waves were going over the road barrier : )
Once inland it was sheltered and we had a good ride into Otaki. We both got flat tyres so it was an eventful day getting those all sorted.
The Julls feed us with an awesome dinner and put us up for the night. Thanks heaps for that!
