I headed to Lake Wairkaremoana for a couple of days on my way home from Palmerston North. We were lucky enough to tag along with the Maori boys that work with the kiwi.

they look cute!! the only time i've seen a real one was in rotorua in one of those geyser parks in a small hut... :(
