The bottom of the slalom course.

The course is a horse shoe shape.

This is a small fish migration canal that the fish use to get up to the top lake to breed.

The warmup gates at the top of the course

Big holes and waves midway down the course

Rapids at the bottom of the course.

The course is really nice, much better than I expected. Surprisingly clean water with some neat little drops and really surging holes and waves getting progressively bigger towards the bottom on the horse shoes shaped canal (I would say most similar to Seoul, in Spain where the third world cup was last year). The area itself is surrounded by jungle with a rich sort of red soil that sticks to everything, with heaps of banana and orange trees and a little crocodile the lives at the bottom of the course. Apparently he hasnt eaten any kayakers yet, so he must be catching enough poisonous snakes instead : )
