We woke up to an overcast sky so headed on our way to our first Scotish Island - the Isle of Skye. We spent most of the day exploring driving the rugged coast checking out sheer cliffs, strange rocks at My Stor and castle ruins. As it was not a nice night for camping we decided to try a B and B also so we could try a big traditional scottish breakfast. That night we sat in bed watching Braveheart and eating fish and chips.
Looking across yet another loch on our way to skye
Eilean Donan castle - the most photographed castle in scotland which has been build on a little island
It was such a neat little castle
The bridge joining Scotland with the Isle of Skye
It was all one lane roads heading along the Northern tip of Skye. You can see the 'Old man of Storr' rocks in the background
We hiked up into the cloud to see the 'Old man of Storr'
Walking through this forest was just so quiet and peaceful
Just incase you forgot. They had one of these signs every few km
We then saw some waterfalls and mining ruins before reaching these impressive cliffs. you can see Karen on the edge
The sheer sliffs were really impressive al along the coast.
A small village in the northern part of skye
This little phonebox looked really funny in the middle of nowhere miles from anyone or any houses
Dunvegan Castle ruins
