This is a view from our apartment where the river level had got so high it was flooding into the main streets in Whakatane

We seem to have brought the rain from Fiordland where it pissed down 200-300ml in 24hours here in Whakatane. The river was getting pretty high, but not enough to burst its banks. We are hanging out for some hot sun later this week.
