We venture onto the Hollyford Track.
There had been a lot of rain so the track was still flooded in areas but we still managed to keep our feet dry

This is hidden falls an impressive 32m waterfall with so much force the water sprays hundreds of metres into the air

Fully equipped with oven, lights, hot shower and running water.
Hidden Falls hut was situated at the edge of the beech forest in grassland next to the Hollyford River.

Karen and I had a three days out on the Hollyford track at the staff quarters at Hidden Falls. It was a very flat lowland track with mainly beech forest.
Karen headed out to Lake Alabaster on the second day to have a look at the hut while I climbed to the top of Hidden Falls and explored the river.
