For the last few weekends I have been going hard with kiteboarding. I have seen people dragged down the beach in the past and heard stories of people landing in trees so thought I would get a few lessons.

Learning to use the kite took a bit of getting used to and jumping on the board is like wakeboarding, so I picked it up pretty fast. Auckland has some great spots like Point Chev, Bayswater, Devonport, Eastern Beach and Farm Cove.

I have a new kit: naish 12m kite which is great for lighter days as well as higher wind days and haze board which goes really well in the water.
