Bocos del Toro

On our way to the bat caves we saw this tree with huge vines hanging off it all the way to the ground

This was a trippy spiral plant on the side of the road

Karen spotted some strippy frogs

Entrance to the limestone bat caves

We explored the caves by candlelight

Limestone formations

The cave was full of hundreds of bats clinging to the ceiling

28 December 2009

We got a bus to the border and crossed into Panama, the last country of the trip a couple of days back. We caught a ferry straight out to Bocos (Isla Colon) and arrived at a american run backpackers just in time for thanksgiving. It was our first thanksgiving and we had a huge feed and cheap 50cent beers all night so had a good time. We walked to some bat caves, had a look around the town and meet a heaps of travellers.
