The bridge across the river for spectators was broken, so everyone had to get across in the C2, even my mum : )

Racing kicked off for the season yesterday at the Wairoa, in Tauranga. There were quite a few competitors as well as Robin (C1 World number 3) and Will from Aussie.
A very different sort of a course was set to normal with a flush gate behind boggs rock and at the finish making it a little more interesting.
Mike and Will tied for 1st place in the K1Men with Aaron a second behind in 3rd. Robin had some solid runs in the C1 finishing 1st ahead of me.
