Was stoked to read the local paper today and see that Manukau City (where I live) are seriously looking at building an artifical slalom course. Backed by Ian Fergusson, this is great news for kiwi slalom paddlers after the plans were turned down to build a course on Lake Pupuke over the shore last year.
