The C1 and K1M paddlers from throughout the World have been battling it out in Beijing over the last 2 days for the 'Good Luck Beijing' Olympic Test Event.
The German paddlers were on fire in the C1 with Nico Bettge taking out the title with Jan Benzien close behind in 3rd. Michael Martikan from Slovakia finished in 2nd.
In was also very tight racing in the K1M, with Frances World Champ Jullian Billaut in 1st, and Fabian Doerfler (from Germany) finishing in 2nd place. Scott Parsons from the USA paddled his way into the 3rd spot.
Mike Dawson was the only kiwi competing. He had some fast times finishing in 23rd place but that was not enough to make the cut for semis.
