1st in New Zealand rankings

Roaring meg nationals

Nationals was a very stressful day today. I had an average first run. However, when the results came out (5 minutes before I was scheduled to do my second run) they said I had 54 seconds in penalties as well as a really slow time (that wasnt the case, when i found out later i was 1/2 a second down). I tried to sort it out there and then due to the time limit to protest and had to basically sprint to the start line. Went into my second run in a bad frame of mind and crapped out. A little disappointing after winning yesterday by 38 seconds.

I know this happens every so often when there is a lot of stress on the results person.
Thanks to the organisers for all their work for the event, overall it was a good two days of racing and great to be on the meg again after so long.

On a happier note, my solid good results this session resulted in me taking out the New Zealand C1 rankings in first place.
