There was some tough competition out there this weekend as everyone raced to get into the top three in each class to take away the prize money.
I have really loved paddling on this course in the last week. The big waves, holes, defined eddies, size and difficulty make it so much fun to paddle on.
I started off the qualifications on Saturday as a warm up for the finals. Each time I went down the course I paddled better and better. I put down a couple of reasonable runs that put me in 4 place in the B finals and 14th place overall. It was a nice way to finish off this racing part of the year and I look forward to coming back here
We got back to NZ yesterday afternoon and I just finished sitting my exam : ) I am so happy as I can have a few days to relax.
