The warm up gates on the Prague course

Bottom of Prague slalom course

I felt a little bit of tiredness coming into my muscles during our fulls training on Friday so my planned 36 hours rest has been very worthwhile. I have taken it easy and spent a little time repairing little things on my boat that needed a bit of attention.
We headed into the city at lunchtime yesterday to an Irish Pub to watch the Rugby. It wasn’t the most exciting game, but we had a great time hanging out with some other kiwi tourists and rubbing in the loss to the aussies and south Africans who were also watching the game.
Last night we were invited by Hodney to go to his annual hangi he has at his other house out in the country. We sat around a fire with all of his mates, had a few beers and the best feed of tender meat and potatoes I have had this entire trip. Us kiwi boys promised a haka which went off in style with us backlit behind the fire, so it was extra scary : ) That was a really enjoyable, relaxing night.
Just finished a technique session this afternoon and I feel really good. I felt really refreshed and relaxed on the whitewater : )
