Day 22/23 - At Sea

8/9 February 2014

With a lot of rocking of the boat I think everyone woke up tired having had broken sleep but when the captain says we are having a dream run across the southern ocean this opens your eyes to what it can be like.

With nothing much happening on board it is a great chance to sort through some pictures and listen to some lectures. The increase in boat movement keeps things interesting at meal times when everything is flying around the table and people are trying to hang on. I managed to call home and it was great to talk to Karen and realise how much I am missing her.

Its fun just watching the albatross just glide through the sky, such massive birds that spend 3+ years at sea before returning to their place of birth.

Enjoying another yummy three course meal put out by the chefs

Wind catching the waves and blowing water into the air
