For those of you that know me well you will know about my obsession with insects. At this time of year there is a certain species of jewel chafer beetle Stethaspis pulcher that can only be found in the Garvie Mountains for 4 weeks at this time of year. Being down this part of the country I couldnt resist going to this wicked spot in South Otago and having a look.
