Clifden Caves

Start of the clifden caves near Tuatapere.

There were hundreds of glow worms throughout

It was a pretty rugged cave with lots of tight spots

There were plenty of awesome limestone formations

Karen was trying to walk around the edge of this pool but fel all the way in

This bit of the cave had a stream running through it which flooded the entire cave system with heavy rain

Bluecliff beach which is at the start of the humpridge trails, you can see Steward Island in the background. Its famous for hectors dolphins but we didnt manage to see any

This is where the Mararao river and the water from Lake Manapouri join to form the Waiau river whose flow is regulated by this dam.
